One Year This is my latest book launched this Month and a companion to "A dedication to someone so very special"This is a Trilogy from "One Year"A LIMPETA limpet in a stormy seaTossed and weary, she wished you'd seeFor as limpets do, she clung on to her love rockLashed by vicious tongues in waves of torment she clung onAnd thought, if only you could see What anguish you caused meFor that limpet perhaps to you seemed so insignificantMay be you will, may be you cantThis is the one who loves you so very deepWho gave away to you her heart to keepAnd in its place an empty holeFor like a limpet she clings on tight fastFor when she gave her love it was promised to lastIf only the rock to whom she clingsCould hear the song her hurt soul singsInstead he listens to the beating lashing of the wavesWhose lying tongues, gossip, he cravesOne day that limpet will be washed awayAnd rock will have lost his one true loveClaimed forever by the vicious wavesAnd when the storm is over and the seas have wonHe'll weep forever on his ownA solitary lump of lonely stoneMPB (c)A LIMPET'S JOURNEYA limpet shed its sorrowful tearsComforted in the sunA crab came by and heard her fearsAnd told her please don't cryFor when you do the seas grow strongHe smiled as she sighedForget the rock he's had his dayLet him play with the cruel seaHe has his lesson to learn, such is the wayPlease smile for when you do, your smile lights up the skyYou can no longer help the rock, he'll always make you cryHe should have listened to your songHe should have heard you singLeave him now and come with meLeave him, he's learned nothingAnd so the ocean laughed, as the waves did mockAnd to his devices they left him a lonely unrepentant rockDon't look back my limpet, leave him on his ownBy mistakes we've learned and thus grownAnd as the sun rose high And brightened up the skyA rock was destined to weep forever on his ownA stupid solitary lump of of lonely stoneMPB (c)A ROCK'S JOURNEYAnd so the rock was on his ownAll cried out and all aloneHe lost his only one true loveThe gift bestowed from Spirit aboveWho, she would have sold her very soul, her ownIf only the regrets he would have knownFor now she's gone all awaySo many regrets he'll have to this dayFor only five minutes, he would giveTo tell her, without her, he couldn't liveThere is a lesson here to be saidPlease tell your loved ones, before love's deadHow much you really carePlease tell them with haste or lover bewareOne day you might come to realiseIt will be over, love's demiseAnd here like he, you will lieA solitary rock left to weep and cryAll cried out and all aloneVery much full of regrets and forever on his ownMPB (c)From "One Year"A sequel to A Dedication to Someone So Very Special: A Collection of Poetry
